Body: Young and virile and full of pride and passion. The Ileach is showing more maturity and early signs of becoming a warrior on the island of peat giants and celtic crosses. The texture of the spirit has been enriched by another year's maturation, thus becoming less aggressive by taking the strength of the ancient oak which in turn gives more character and personality.
Nose: If you have ever been to Islay then close your eyes and gently inhale the spirit, the aromas of peat bogs, smoke, mint, mountain thyme, yellow gorse, wet moss, pine, rowan and birch which provide a distilled essence that intermingles with the south-westerly sea wind carrying their traces of distant lands. The aromatics of brine and sea-spray with their underlying power of Atlantic swells ever present as it is for the Ileach and it's smell of home, warm friendly communities and people who care.
Palate: The peaty flavour is rich and vibrant reaching deep onto the palate accompanied by dark warm molasses with hints of dates and bitter chocolate. The second layer brings the Moorland mossy flavours bringing complexity and contrast, weaving beautifully with the smoke, and then the marine breezes add their unique freshness, lifting the senses on an updraft of the queen of the Hebrides. The history and culture of Islay in the palm of your hand. It arouses feelings of family and friends who, like the distillery have shown a life force that can overcome many hurdles and remain untouched by the ever changing seasons of life.

Certified organic vineyards must meet Demeter"s additional criteria for a period of one year before earning the designation "biodynamic."
Sustainably Grown
Sustainable practices incorporate organic standards and may exceed them and include ecologically and socially sound business practices such as fair pay for farm workers and energy conservation.
Screw Cap
Wines sealed with a screw cap as opposed to a cork, which experts report protects and preserves wine more effectively than does a cork, while also eliminating the possibility of cork taint.
No Sulfites
All wines naturally contain some sulfites, however wines that contain less than 10 parts per million sulfites are not required to include "Contains Sulfites" on their labels.

Wines that are still in the barrel and have yet to be bottled. Futures offer the opportunity to invest in a wine before it arrives in our store.

Like futures, pre-arrivals are wines that have not yet arrived on our shelves, however they may or may not be a new release. Pre-arrivals may already be bottled and en route to our store.
