Bodegas Emilio Moro
An intense, ripe cherry colour with violet hues. The nose is broad and persistent. Aromas of mulberry and blackberry and spices - balsamic aromas such as liquorice which is particular to the variety. Fragrant and very feminine white-flower tones can be appreciated that enhances its complexity. Roasted tones reminiscent of cinnamon, cloves, ginger and aniseed. Leafy notes of low-mountain shrubs such as rockrose, resinous notes of myrrh and sweet ones like cocoa and vanilla. Its feel in the mouth is at first silky and velvety then evolves into a powerful structured feel with highly concentrated, rich tannins which leads to a very long aftertaste.

The 2008 Malleolus de Sanchomartin was also tasted from a barrel sample. Deep purple in color, it displays beautiful aromatics that are very seductive. Elegant on the palate with ample underlying structure, this is a focused, intense offering that will evolve for more than a decade. Score Range: 94-97

Richer and more grapey than the Valdorramiro 2008, but also friendlier, deeper and more complete. Aromas of blackberry, vanilla and sweet spices lead to a structured, weighty palate full of spicy, oak-driven berry and plum flavors. Clove notes and length define the finish. Drink from 2014-2019

Wine Spectator
Ripe, dark flavors of blackberry, currant and coffee have depth and focus in this modern red. Fresh acidity balances firm tannins, which give way to a long, floral finish. Expressive. Tinto Fino. Drink now through 2016. 33 cases imported.

Screw Cap
Wines sealed with a screw cap as opposed to a cork, which experts report protects and preserves wine more effectively than does a cork, while also eliminating the possibility of cork taint.
No Sulfites
All wines naturally contain some sulfites, however wines that contain less than 10 parts per million sulfites are not required to include "Contains Sulfites" on their labels.
