"Talk about the hit of the party. For the Big 40 I busted out this party stopping wine for my friends. I'm lucky I even got a glass! This Argentina gem had loads of chocolate and mocha aromas and flavors. It was super luscious and seductive and a perfect wine for my big day! Saturated dark violet color; dark fruits and bitter chocolate on the somewhat “tight” nose, with a strong kirsch note emerging with aeration; powerful and deep, with a grip and flavors of cassis, dark chocolate and minerals; fine-grained tannins and slowly building persistence. The Adrianna Vineyard Malbec is meant to evolve in the bottle.
Wine Advocate
The 2007 Adrianna Vineyard Malbec is a similar purple/black in color with an expressive bouquet of sandalwood, Asian spices, incense, mineral, black cherry, and black raspberry. Opulent on the palate with serious extraction, great depth of flavor, complexity, and impeccable balance, this loaded, potent effort will evolve for at least 5-7 years and see its 20th birthday in prime condition.
Catena Zapata's newest releases continue the high standards established by this Bodega virtually from its onset, a tribute to Nicolas Catena who continues to oversee his empire.

mmense, packed with gorgeously pure raspberry, boysenberry and blackberry fruit that stays fresh and driven despite its weight, thanks to perfectly embedded structure. The long, suave toast- and spice-filled finish almost flaunts its power, but stays deftly balanced. An impressive display of the modern style. Best from 2011 through 2015. 400 cases made.

Sustainably Grown
Sustainable practices incorporate organic standards and may exceed them and include ecologically and socially sound business practices such as fair pay for farm workers and energy conservation.
Screw Cap
Wines sealed with a screw cap as opposed to a cork, which experts report protects and preserves wine more effectively than does a cork, while also eliminating the possibility of cork taint.
No Sulfites
All wines naturally contain some sulfites, however wines that contain less than 10 parts per million sulfites are not required to include "Contains Sulfites" on their labels.

Wines that are still in the barrel and have yet to be bottled. Futures offer the opportunity to invest in a wine before it arrives in our store.

Parker, Jr. Initially titled The Baltimore-Washington Wine Advocate the first issue was published in 1978. Accepting no advertising, the newsletter publishes in excess of 7,500 reviews per year, utilizing Parker's rating system that employs a 50-100 point quality scale.

I still believe it is the simplest way to rate a wine, with its origins from grade school in the United States. A wine that I rate 90 points or more is outstanding (A), and worth buying. If I rate a wine 95 points or more (A+), it is a must buy.
