Domaine Jacques Prieur
Deep ruby-red color with light purplish highlights. Elegant and very ethereal bouquet with floral (violet), spicy, and peppery aromas. A wine of great breeding and distinction with a delicious spicy taste. Fresh, flavoursome, and fruity. Refined, silky tannin with a warm, rich aftertaste.
Burghound
An elegant yet reserved and admirably layered nose features red and blue pinot fruit, rose and violet notes plus subtle spice aromas that are in perfect keeping with the round, intense, precise and pure medium full flavors that possess excellent mid-palate concentration and a discreetly mineral-infused finish that both coats the mouth and lingers beautifully. There is enough sap here that the mouth feel is actually rounder at present than the wine will be once the baby fat melts away. In a word, gorgeous. Comments: Don't miss! Barrel tasting score range: 92-94.

Wine Advocate
Prieur's 2006 Musigny - from the cru's heat-trapping southern edge - is vividly black raspberry in fruit character. It emits alluring high-toned distilled fruit esters, but is almost monolithic in its palate-saturating intensity and at least for now, neither charming nor graceful. Cinnamon, tar, and chewy fruit skin character convey pungency somehow appropriate to the wine's sense of sappy, resinous cling and tannic grip, although the structure here is certainly covered in fruit. This is almost certain to remain formidable for a decade or more, but whether it will ultimately be a truly great expression of this blessed site, I am less confident.

Sustainably Grown
Sustainable practices incorporate organic standards and may exceed them and include ecologically and socially sound business practices such as fair pay for farm workers and energy conservation.
Screw Cap
Wines sealed with a screw cap as opposed to a cork, which experts report protects and preserves wine more effectively than does a cork, while also eliminating the possibility of cork taint.
No Sulfites
All wines naturally contain some sulfites, however wines that contain less than 10 parts per million sulfites are not required to include "Contains Sulfites" on their labels.

The Wine Advocate is a bimonthly wine publication featuring the consumer advice of wine critic Robert M. Parker, Jr. Initially titled The Baltimore-Washington Wine Advocate the first issue was published in 1978. Accepting no advertising, the newsletter publishes in excess of 7,500 reviews per year, utilizing Parker's rating system that employs a 50-100 point quality scale.
Wine Spectator
Wine Spectator is a lifestyle magazine that focuses on wine and wine culture. It publishes 15 issues per year with content that includes news, articles, profiles, and general entertainment pieces. Each issue also includes from 400 to more than 1,000 wine reviews, which consist of wine ratings and tasting notes.
International Wine Cellar

I still believe it is the simplest way to rate a wine, with its origins from grade school in the United States. A wine that I rate 90 points or more is outstanding (A), and worth buying. If I rate a wine 95 points or more (A+), it is a must buy.
