The wine presents a vivid ruby red color. On the nose black fruit and blueberries aromas are evident, accompanied by chocolate, vanilla and elegant flower scents enhance the wine complexity. On the mouth it has velvety and harmonious tannins and good structure, due to a proper harvesting time selection, while vanilla notes stay lingering during the long finish of the wine. It's a fresh and joyful wine, were acidity is in perfect balance, a faithful example of the quality of the Mendoza first zone. Its soft and sweet tannins provide a perfect balance to be enjoyed with mild barbecued meats, stews and pastas.
Wine Advocate
The 2010 Malbec is a blend of 90% Malbec and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon from sandy loam soils aged for eight months in used American and French barrels. It has a lifted bouquet of ripe raspberry and strawberry fruit that is simple but so fresh and lively. The palate is medium-bodied, with fine tannins encasing a core of sweet red berry fruit laced with licorice and a touch of lemon peel. It is nicely focused and vigorous on the satisfyingly long finish. Drink now-2014.

Biodynamic
Biodynamic designation is regulated by Demeter, an international certification organization. Biodynamic agriculture is based on the view of a farm as a self-contained organism. Certified organic vineyards must meet Demeter"s additional criteria for a period of one year before earning the designation "biodynamic."
Sustainably Grown
Sustainable practices incorporate organic standards and may exceed them and include ecologically and socially sound business practices such as fair pay for farm workers and energy conservation.
Screw Cap
Wines sealed with a screw cap as opposed to a cork, which experts report protects and preserves wine more effectively than does a cork, while also eliminating the possibility of cork taint.
No Sulfites
All wines naturally contain some sulfites, however wines that contain less than 10 parts per million sulfites are not required to include "Contains Sulfites" on their labels.

I still believe it is the simplest way to rate a wine, with its origins from grade school in the United States. A wine that I rate 90 points or more is outstanding (A), and worth buying. If I rate a wine 95 points or more (A+), it is a must buy.
