"On appearance, the hue has a light crimson red glow to it. Aromas of sweet fruit and sweet mint are mouthwatering. Has a sort of cherry cola scent to it. The palate is dominated by the same fresh fruit flavors highlighted by a delicate cherry. Soft and supple its elegance and finesse are intoxicatingly flavorsome. In one word; YUMMY!"
Wilson Arizmendi - Wine Manager

Poggio di Sotto
Intense and clean aromas. Excellent correspondence of taste to nose, outstanding freshness but also elegance and persistence. It is called a "young Brunello".

Wine Advocate

The 2008 Rosso di Montalcino emerges with layers of sweet, perfumed fruit followed by red rapsberries, spices and mint. Silky tannins frame the graceful finish. The 2008 is a relatively lithe vintage for the Rosso, but the balance and overall finesse are beyond reproach. Poggio di Sotto's Rosso is one of my favorite restaurant wines. It truly is in a class of its own. In 2008 Palmucci gave the Rosso 23 months in cask. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2020.

Score: 92. —Antonio Galloni, May 2011.
