 Bodegas y Vinedos Martinez-Corta was born with the work of a family devoted to the world of wine for four generations. 50 years ago the family decided to devote themselves to the production of high quality wines. The wines come from 70 hectares (172 acres) of vineyards they have been cultivating for several generations. These vineyards are located in La Rioja Alta, with all wines produced from grapes grown in their own vineyards. Both the design of the winery and the engineering of the winemaking process work together so as to create high quality wines. All harvesting and handling of the grapes is done manually. In the modern winery the fermentation is done in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks using only gravity feed systems to protect the tender fruit. The resulting wine only spends a few days in barrels for malolactic fermentation so the final product is just pure Tempranillo fruit flavors and characteristics.
