 Since 1870, a period spanning five generations, the Eguren family has been dedicated to the cultivation of vines and the production and ageing of the best wines of Spain. They have been able to pass down from father to son both knowledge and tradition yet, at the same time, adapting them to the new advances in technology and always maintaining their respect for the soil and the vine. The unmistakable and very personal stamp that the family imprints upon the wines, brings together a daily quest for improvement and a passion for a job well done, from the demanding search for the best conditions for grapevine cultivation to the presentation of the final product to the wine lover. The family owns six wineries including Bodegas Eguren, Sierra Cantabria and Senorio de San Vicente. Bodegas Eguren is located in Vitoria-Gasteiz, the capital of the Basque Country in northern Spain. At Bodegas Eguren they produce wines from Tierra de Castilla. Their main focus is producing interesting and unique wines that over deliver in quality. You will be able to find wines from Spain that you might never have tried before or even knew existed. How about a 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from Spain like today's feature! The grapes for this wine are from the Villa Rosario vineyard that was planted in 1989. It spends 6 months ageing in barrels before bottling.
