Jacob's Creek

Colour: Vibrant ruby red. Bouquet: Concentrated, complex aromas of blackberry and dried fruit with hints of spice and black pepper, supported by well integrated coconut and vanilla oak. Palate: Intense dark berries, dried herbs and spice are accompanied by rich fruit sweetness on the mid palate. Nuances of layered black olive, dried fruit and clove evolve with time in the glass. A soundly structured wine, well balanced with a long finish of mocha oak. It is remarkably youthful for its age and is only just beginning to display the additional layers of complexity brought about by careful bottle maturation.

Ripe and succulent, with a vanilla note weaving through the blackberry, currant and sweet spice flavors that mingle effortlessly on the seamless finish. Impressive for its balance and power-in-reserve. Drink now.

Wine Enthusiast

Starts off rather spicy and peppery, fills the midpalate with modest blackberry fruit, then closes with a blast of vanilla-laden oak. This is a medium-bodied, savory offering that blends of a couple of old-vine parcels from Barossa's Tanunda subregion. Drink now-2012.
