Sbragia Family
These grapes come from several blocks in this Yountville vineyard where there are lots of different clones planted. My goal is to make a Chardonnay in the biggest, most intensely rich style while keeping the wine in balance and maintaining the vineyard's terroir and fruit expression.
Wine Advocate
Readers looking for more Meursault-like Chardonnay with loads of tropical fruit and plenty of hazelnuts would be advised to check out the exotic, full-bodied, rich, heady 2005 Chardonnay Gamble Ranch. This is a Chardonnay that should drink well for 3-4 years.
Score: 91. —Robert Parker, December 2006.Wine Spectator
Fresh, floral and creamy-textured, with delicate pear, fig, spice and light hazelnut flavors that are complex, focused and lingering. Drink now through 2011. Tasted twice, with consistent notes.
