In the magnificent environment of Caucasian mountains and Alazani river valley started its existence Telavi Wine Cellar. Since its foundation in 1915 the company story has been marked with the periods of fl ourish and stagnation. In 1997 the company unfolded another chapter in its history. According to the basic objective - to create a consistent system, where quality dictates each aspect of the process from saplings till wine bottling, modern grape presses, sophisticated refrigeration system for temperature controlled fermentation, stainless steel tanks, as well as the French oak barrels were acquired. A company with strong links with the history, but with a real focus on innovation in winemaking, has hired wine masters from France, Australia and other countries of the world in an effort to develop wines where Georgian traditions are combined with western experience to bring consumer a superior quality and taste.
Present:
As a result to our hard work and passion we have: Our own nursery producing 200 000 grafted rootlings per year; Vineyards in three main appellations: Tsinandali for white wines, Mukuzani and Kindzmarauli for reds; Winery equipped with the most modern technologies; Production of wide range of wine styles from light to heavy-bodied; The wine sales increased 10 times from 1998 to 2005; More than 100 gold and silver medals harvested at the most important international wine competitions.
