Color: Tea rose/ wild raspberry.
Body: Light, bright and full of the joys! A vibrant spirit brimming with the unique flavors of the Hebrides.
Nose: It has an exhilarating bouquet, opening with soft red grapes, red currant jelly, pomegranate and red apple all encases in an envelope of syrup, sweet malted barley and brown sugar vanilla. It's snappy and sweet, zipping along the crest of a wave migrating from Islay to France but always returning to the homeland.
Palate: It jumps right out of the glass anxious to please. Lots of Celtic fire and spirit. The wine flavors wait patiently while the malt and oak display their charms - then given time they emerge bringing red cherry, strawberry and spiciness. It has a yogurt like texture, really creamy yet still retains a smappy coastal crispness.
Finish: It's a malt on a mission. Does not hang around, quick as a flash, it's gone leaving you wondering, should I have bought an extra bottle?
Wine Enthusiast
The inviting bouquet offers aromas of fruitcake, banana nut bread, sweet malt, crispy pork rind, sweet oak, vanilla, red grapes and blackberry jam. Entry is sweet and grainy; at midpalate the taste profile suddenly bursts with red fruit presence and oaky vanilla. Finishes clean as a whistle, chewy and concentrated.

Certified organic vineyards must meet Demeter"s additional criteria for a period of one year before earning the designation "biodynamic."
Sustainably Grown
Sustainable practices incorporate organic standards and may exceed them and include ecologically and socially sound business practices such as fair pay for farm workers and energy conservation.
Screw Cap
Wines sealed with a screw cap as opposed to a cork, which experts report protects and preserves wine more effectively than does a cork, while also eliminating the possibility of cork taint.
No Sulfites
All wines naturally contain some sulfites, however wines that contain less than 10 parts per million sulfites are not required to include "Contains Sulfites" on their labels.

Accepting no advertising, the newsletter publishes in excess of 7,500 reviews per year, utilizing Parker's rating system that employs a 50-100 point quality scale.

Wine Spectator is a lifestyle magazine that focuses on wine and wine culture. It publishes 15 issues per year with content that includes news, articles, profiles, and general entertainment pieces. I still believe it is the simplest way to rate a wine, with its origins from grade school in the United States. A wine that I rate 90 points or more is outstanding (A), and worth buying.
