"This is a beautiful rendition of the classic Ribero del Duero. It has a nose of spice and dried cherry with flavors of cherry, strawberry and a touch of mint. This wine is extremely vibrant and food friendly with just about anything."
Debbie Nelson - Wine Manager

"This is an especially delicious tempranillo. A very refined and composed wine - it is also beautiful to look at. Deep, dark red with highlights of cherry, plum, and lilac. This wine opens up delicately - easy and floral, but the wine is deeply juicy. A very appealing oak creates a firm foundation for loads of ripe fruit notes. The balanced tannins ease it to the finish bursting with young berries and funk."
David Rudd - Wine Supervisor

A black cherry colour with Prussian blue tones. Deep and long on the nose with hints of red berry fruit, such as bramble and blackberries. The oak presence is very refined and elegant. Robust on the palate with a fleshy mouth-feel and tannins of high quality.

International Wine Cellar

Vivid ruby color. Sexy, highly perfumed bouquet of raspberry, cherry-cola, potpourri and oak spices. Round, fleshy and seamless, offering vivid red berry flavors, no obvious tannins and slow-building spiciness. Very fresh wine with impressive finishing precision and sweet persistence. This is drinking well right now.

Score: 91. —Josh Raynolds,

Wine Spectator

This plush, modern red delivers sweet flavors of blackberry and fig compote with spicy accents of vanilla, cinnamon and sandalwood. Round and juicy, with fine tannins and lively acidity. Drink now through 2017. 1,000 cases imported.

Score: 91. —Thomas Matthews, June 15, 2010.

Wine Advocate

The 2007 Cepa 21 raises the bar slightly. Also 100% Tinto Fino, it exhibits a bouquet of toasty oak, pencil lead, spice box, and black fruits. On the palate it displays an elegant personality with ample succulent fruit, good depth, and a smooth texture. It will benefit from 1-2 years of cellaring and offer prime drinking from 2011 to 2019.

Score: 90. —Jay Miller, April 2010.
