Mumm Cordon Rouge possesses a brilliant yellow golden color. The bubbles are lively, intense, and light. The bouquet is fruity with initial notes of peaches, pears, and green apples followed by flavors of candied lemon and ripe apricots. The long cellar aging provides flavors of vanilla, roasted nuts and a hint of toast. On the palate this cuvée reveals a delicate freshness followed by the power and full-bodied character of the Pinot Noir. The finish is a combination of the lightness of the Chardonnay and the fruitiness of the Pinot Noir balanced by the roundness of the Pinot Meunier. The "témoigne" or long finish, is the result of the carefully chosen infusion of terroir and reserve wines.
SERVING SUGGESTIONS: Mumm Cordon Rouge is excellent when any occasion shared with friends becomes a celebration. However, the power and complexity of Cordon Rouge also makes it a perfect partner for delicate and distinctive food. Sauced fishes, grilled lamb and tender chicken all pair beautifully with Mumm Cordon Rouge. The predominance of the Pinot Noir makes for a good balance with dishes containing lighter mushrooms such as creamy champignon risotto.
Composition: 45 percent Pinot Noir
25 percent Pinot Meunier
30 percent Chardonnay

Mumm's new generation of Cordon Rouge bottlings is a pleasure. The wine has depth and great full swathes of pear and red apple fruit flavors. It is well integrated, with initial softness tightened up with acidity and yeast flavors.

Screw Cap
Wines sealed with a screw cap as opposed to a cork, which experts report protects and preserves wine more effectively than does a cork, while also eliminating the possibility of cork taint.
No Sulfites
All wines naturally contain some sulfites, however wines that contain less than 10 parts per million sulfites are not required to include "Contains Sulfites" on their labels.
