Pierre Gimonnet & Fils
57% Cramant (many very old vines), 30% Chouilly (Mont Aigu, 50 yrs old) and 13% Cuis. Disgorged 8/10, and to be sold in late 2011 or when needed based on depletions of the '04. It's more buoyant, minerally and pointed than the more rugged Fleuron; potentially the best '05 I've tasted, though with its strength I wonder if a smidgeon more RS is needed...
Wine Enthusiast
The Spécial Club is a grouping of Champagne producers who taste each other's wines before allowing them to be released under this label. With its pure expression of mineral-driven, tense Chardonnay, this is made in a dry style. It's fragrant, fruity and ready to age for several years.

Wine Advocate
Gimonnet's 2005 Brut Special Club is made predominantly from old vines in Cramant, Oger and Cuis. It offers better balance than the 2005 Non Dose, as a little dosage, in this case 5 grams per liter, unleashes the aromatics and fruit to a considerable degree. Pears, pastry, lemon oil, almonds and exotic flowers all meld together nicely. The 2005 Special Club remains tightly wound and vibrant, with none of the awkward notes that are found in so many wines in this vintage. Disgorgement date: July 30, 2012. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2020.

Sustainable practices incorporate organic standards and may exceed them and include ecologically and socially sound business practices such as fair pay for farm workers and energy conservation.
Screw Cap
Wines sealed with a screw cap as opposed to a cork, which experts report protects and preserves wine more effectively than does a cork, while also eliminating the possibility of cork taint.
No Sulfites
All wines naturally contain some sulfites, however wines that contain less than 10 parts per million sulfites are not required to include "Contains Sulfites" on their labels.

I still believe it is the simplest way to rate a wine, with its origins from grade school in the United States. A wine that I rate 90 points or more is outstanding (A), and worth buying. If I rate a wine 95 points or more (A+), it is a must buy.
