Aging in oloroso sherry wood appears to be the secert to the cigar-matching beauty of Dalmore Cigar Malt, a new single malt scotch specially crafted by master blender Rihard Paterson to pair with cigars. The greater sherry presence also results in a "greater viscosity that subtly coats the palate and helps balance the richness or aromatic ciagrs." Jus the thing for a post-prandial dram and a smoke.
Honey-amber color and a big butterscotch aroma. Intriguingly dry and earthy, with leather, tobacco, dark chocolate and clove flavors, which accelerate with repeated sips and linger on. Add ice if you must, but avoid watering down this delicious after-dinner treat, which would be even better accompanied by a well-selected dark chocolate or two.
