"When great producers such as Piedmont's Aldo Conterno, turn their focus to what some consider lesser wines like Barbera, something wonderful happens. You get incredible winemaking skill at a price the average Joe can afford. This is hefty for a Barbera, but does not sacrifice the grapes character. Great balance of fruit, acid, mineral, earth tones and grippy tannins."
