Color: Intense red with purplish highlights.
The 2011 Malbec has a simple nose of soy-tinged black fruit that has absorbed the American and French oak well. The palate is medium-bodied with touches of burnt toast and rosemary on the entry, coca-tinged tannins and a pleasing, smooth, harmonious finish. Drink now-2014.
Musky, ripe aromas of currant, leather, chocolate and espresso. Supple and generous in the mouth, with sweet currant and tobacco flavors lifted by a note of pepper. Easygoing, varietally expressive malbec with soft tannins and good length. A very good little wine for ten bucks.
