"I've tasted previous vintages and this wine seem to be consistent from year-to-year. Aromas of leather and cedar with hints of cherry and oak lead to an easy drinking, good value Spanish red with flavors of cherry, plum and spice. Enjoy with spanish cheeses and earthy chicken dishes."

It is a young wine, made from a selection of vineyards of between 5 and 15 years of age. It spends 4 months in French oak barrels.
A core of cherry and plum gives way to tar, mineral and hoisin sauce notes in this dense red. This shows solid tannins, but remains graceful through the spicy finish. Drink now through 2018. 2,000 cases imported.
The entry-level 2009 Fincas Resalso is 100% Tinto Fino (Tempranillo) from some of the younger vines on the estate. The wine was aged 4 months in French oak. Aromas of cedar, mineral, spice box, violets, and black fruits inform the nose of this forward, supple, succulent effort from the great 2009 vintage. This juicy, uncomplicated effort which finishes with no hard edges, is an excellent value meant for drinking over the next 5 years.
