This pretty wine from Morey St. Denis has aromas of blueberries and wildflowers in the nose. On the palate it is elegant and soft, lush and round, with a sweet, smooth finish. It clearly demonstrates the house style, but is less concentrated than the other wines and the 2000 vintage will drink well young.
This offers a bit more freshness on the blue and red pinot fruit, earth and lightly mineral-suffused nose that complements the rich, generous and quite supple flavors underpinned by ripe but soft tannins plus solid length. This should drink well almost immediately but offer medium-term upside. Score: 88-91 Drink: 2014+
