The natural exposure of this vineyard delivers a wine with high concentration, rich and well balanced. Harvested by hand from the steep terraced hillsides of Gigondas. This wine is perfect with elaborated sauce dishes, a piece of meat and cheese. You can also enjoy this wine on its own.
An old-school style, offering lots of pepper, cedar and tobacco notes, with hints of roasted game, fig and blackberry preserves. A cedary edge lingers on the finish, but this stays supple and well-integrated. Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre. Drink now through 2016. 2,500 cases made.
The 2010 Gigondas exhibits a denser ruby/purple color as well as hints of blueberries and grapy blackberries in a primary, backward style. Layered, full-bodied and denser with more acidity, tannin and extract than the 2009, the 2010 requires several years of cellaring and should drink well for a decade.
