Intense cherry red with a red ruby rim. Delicate, black fruit, balsamic, scrubland memories (rosemary, rockrose and liquorice). Delicate and elegant structure, sweet tannins and balsamic species (nutmeg, vanilla and cinnamon). Complex, touched by the delicacy and elegance from the Mediterranean climate.
This supple red delivers black cherry, smoke, mineral and licorice flavors that build on the palate through the smoky, meaty finish. The tannins are light but firm in this fresh, lively wine. Drink now through 2016. 2,500 cases imported.
The 2008 Crianza Seleccion 12 is made up of 50% Monastrell with the balance Cabernet Sauvignon, Tempranillo, and Merlot aged in new French and American oak for 12 months. It is a full-bodied offering with herbal aromas and flavors, plenty of spice, and chewy black fruits. It can be approached now but will continue to provide pleasure through 2018.
(50% monastrell, 20% each of tempranillo and cabernet sauvignon, and 10% merlot): Bright purple. Sexy aromas of cherry-vanilla and dark berry preserves, with notes of violet and mocha adding depth. Weighty and full, with a seamless texture to the sappy, oak-spiced cherry and blueberry flavors. The broad finish features clinging sweetness and an absence of rough edges.
