The Spanish enologist, Rafael Ca˝izares seeks to achieve the maximum expression of the Verdejo grape grown in the environment. The grapes for this wine come from 14 hectares (34 acres) of Verdejo vines planted in 1998. After very careful vineyard selections, only the best vines of Verdejo grapes are hand harvested.
Made from 100% Verdejo, the 2011 Paso a Paso Verdejo reveals more lemon custard notes, a more projected aromatic profile, light to medium body and impressive purity as well as texture. It should drink nicely for a year as well.
