The rich hue of the 2010 leaves the impression that this is going to be a big powerful Zin. But you quickly discover the wine is well-behaved. A brambly, berry-driven Zinfandel that delivers not only classic Dry Creek flavors of raspberries, but also wonderful boysenberry and plum notes accented by a good dose of baking spices and just a touch of oak. While it would work well with just about any grilled meat, it has a particular affinity for barbecue.
A Zin for Chianti lovers, this is lively, tart and fresh with notes of plum, herb and smoky spice. The tannin-acid mix gives the finish an angular quality. Drink now through 2017.
Classic Dry Creek Zin, tannic and filled with briary, brambly wild berry, currant, anise, leather, peppercorn and sandalwood flavors. Brings elegance to Zin's rustic personality. Great upscale barbecue wine, or try with a chicken or beef stew.
