Appearance: Bright straw with green hues.
This fresh white displays additional cream and spice notes to the ripe citrus and melon fruit character that leads to a focused, minerally finish.
Veramonte's first high-end Ritual Sauvignon is a big success. The nose is mellow, refined and minerally as opposed to pungent and feline. The feel is fresh, clean as a razor, and easygoing, with lime, nectarine and passion fruit flavors. Long and lightly green on the classy finish.
The 2011 Ritual Sauvignon Blanc is sourced from Veramonte's best vineyards and is raised in neutral French oak for five months with weekly lees stirring. The nose is simple but pleasurable with notes of grass clippings, almond and walnut. The palate is medium-bodied with apricot and orange zest on the entry. It has good acidity and a fresh, tropical-tinged finish that shows good length. This is a highly enjoyable, commercial Sauvignon.
